happiness and especially fairness is not for the poor. I agree with you that he is to some degree selfish, however, everyone in the bureaucracy indeed only think of covering his/her own ass, nobody will bear the poor guy's family and kids in the mind for the slightest. It is truly sad to see what has happened. In a conflict situation, individual often has no advantage in the due process when facing an institution. A lot of time, justice wears out in the lengthy complicated process. You can either fight or flight. That guy eventually fought to his demise. He has my 20% sympathy. :)
