I just found out yesterday that, RIP JD Salinger, the reclusive author of The Catcher in the Rye, one of literature's most revered American writers died at age 91. Sad.
for me, maybe, the best way to pay tribute to the revered reclusive author JD Salinger on his demise is rereading the classic novel.

but true confession: I think rereading Catcher In The Rye will be a waste of my precious time.

I read Catcher in the Rye years go. A friend said it was a perceptive book about 16-year-old boys. but I thought the main character was kinda messed up. i didn't think he had a distinct American voice. Some time later i knew that the author drank his own urine, I said to myself: "It figures. :)

no offense at all. i just try to be honest.
