我對一些發音的理解(音頻版)

這個跟我上一次我發的《我總結的中國同學發音難點》有些關係,是對這些“難點”的理解。實際上,對有些發音我未必分得十分清楚,請大家指正。如果能附上自己的音頻,我拋磚引玉的目的就達到了。






1. acronyms:
Chinese learners often say: ESL, MBA, IBM, YMCA. They don’t sound very right.
Let’s try to pronounce them as ESL, MBA, IBM, YMCA
An MBA has an IBM laptop connected to their VPN.

2. unwanted R sound
Chinese learners often say: famours, methord, marny, core, more

They don’t sound very right.
Let’s try to pronounce them as famous, method, money, call, mall
I spent a lot of money in the famous mall.

3. omitted R sound
Some may say: large, before, modern, participant
There were a lot of participants in the large modern party before.

4. can and can't
If you know how to swim, then you say I can swim.
If you don’t know how to swim, then I can't swim.

5. code cold
He writes code in ColdFusion.
Road, rolled
The car rolled over on the road.

6. incorrect pronunciation:
Gerroup; my name is Dereker.
Let’s try to pronounce them as: Group, my name is Derek.

7. stresses
Chinese learners may say: Microsoft, Software, interesting
They don’t sound right. Let’s try to say: Microsoft, Software, interesting

8. We often say house, how, now, downtown. These are acceptable. However, let’s try to pronounce them in another way:
House, how, now, downtown
Example: How can I buy a townhouse in downtown area now?

9. number twelve and thirteen.
Tom is thirty. He has two nephews, 12 and 13.

10. Chinese learners like to use “back nose” sound incorrectly. Only, on, fund
What is going on? We’re only raising fund.

11. /ei/
We often heard “右邊沒車,趕緊換lane”。Let’s try this example:
Refrain from changing lanes dangerously.

12. some ae sound
In some words, if we fully pronounce the ae sound, it will be like:
My name if Frank. Her name is Nancy. We have a plan.
If we try the more natural way, the ae sound may be like e
The same example: My name if Frank. Her name is Nancy. We have a plan.
