Meditation is good exercise, so are others like Tai Chi. I engage in a kind of sport daily and benefit a lot from it.
My experienc shows that Meditation/Yuga/Tai Chi or other Chinese Martial arts are really good to build up ones internal strengths to enhance one's immune system, and making people energetic. Those exercises are a little different from other physical exercises like playing basketball, running, etc.
