APAD: One might as well be hanged for a sheep as for a lamb

Meaning: If the punishment is the same for a major crime as for a minor one, you

might as well commit the serious one.

Going for the serious one also seems to make biblical sense as it is said in

Luke 7:47: "Therefore I say unto thee, her sins, which are many, are forgiven,

for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little."

It feels that the Lord loves the big sinners than us little sinners.

But of course this is a joke. I heard it first from GK and found the following

answer at Quora helpful: "The point was, the person who have done the most

wickedness, and have repented, and starts to obey the laws of God, will more

than likely stay obedient to the Laws of God and love Him more than a person

who didn't do much wickedness and was forgiven also."
