古英語英雄雙韻，每句五個音步，兩音節一個音步，古體對古體，韻詩對韻詩，這是達和雅。詩中意思沒有明顯偏差，幾乎保持原意，但又不拘泥於細節。比如姑蘇為了押韻，直接譯為蘇州。寒山寺用意譯，跟詩歌意境吻合。這個叫信。
