你喜歡測試別人的底線？

Slang 也好，idiom 也好，我覺得學的目的，首先是為了聽懂，其次才是學說。譬如下麵這個詞，我以前的一個部門經理特愛說，我問LD，他說，its not my saying. 其實這跟我們中文說諺語或者成語一樣，每個人都有自己喜歡說的“俗話說的好。。。。”

Push the envelop: 測試底線，挑戰極限： To push the envelop is to stretch the boundaries. 

例句：

關於這個詞的來曆還有一個有趣的故事，二戰結束後，美國大力研製新款飛機，每款飛機都有一個理論極限，就是各種參數的設計極限，這一係列設計參數，在航空工程領域叫envelop (本身就是一個數學術語包絡），每款飛機設計出來，都有試飛員對各項參數進行實地測試，push the envelop 就由此得來。
