自嘲

運交華蓋欲何求¹，未敢翻身已碰頭。

破帽遮顏過鬧市²，漏船載酒泛中流³。

橫眉冷對千夫指⁴，俯首甘為孺子牛⁵。

躲進小樓成一統⁶，管他冬夏與春秋⁷。

 

白話譯文

交了不好的運氣我又能怎麽辦呢？想擺脫卻被碰得頭破血流。

破帽遮臉穿過熱鬧的集市，像用漏船載酒駛於水中一樣危險。

橫眉怒對那些喪盡天良、千夫所指的人，俯下身子甘願為老百姓做孺子牛。

堅守自己的誌向和立場永不改變，不管外麵的環境發生怎樣的變化。^{[2]  [3]}

 

Bad luck has got in me, but what can I do?

Getting rid of it can turn my forehead black and blue.

Passing through the busy market in a shabby hat

which I use to cover my face not only my head,

is a dangerous thing to do, as if a leaking boat runs through

the water carrying wine that is just brewed.

I roll my eyes at those who are heartless,

 and bow to  people who appreciate my service.

 To my beliefs and faith, I am holding them tight,

 no matter what will happen to the world outside.
