Drug paraphernalia is a combined word, which means the pieces of equipment to process drugs. When used separately, "paraphernalia" means the properties that belongs to a woman that came with her as part of the dowry. This is the original meaning which still has not changed much. This is an old word seldomly used now, other than "drug paraphernalia".
