I Survived

At the moment, winds are howling outside and raindrops 

are slapping furiously against my window panes as if 

 they are so mad at winds. I can imagine how messy it

 is out in the dark without looking out of my window. 

Snow and ice have melted in the mild weather since this 

morning. This morning on the way to have my errands done, 

I found that icicles stuck on threes started to drop down

 as winds blew across. In order to avoid being hit by

 icicles from trees right beside where I parked my car,

 as I opened my car door I held my arms above my head 

and ran away as fast as I could. If I were hit by a huge

icicle I might be doomed--the end of my world would come

 true. However, the fact is that I am lucky enough that

 I was not hit by anything, not even a piece of bird poop. 

I  didn't die. I survived the doomsday. Now, it is 

12:05 am,Dec,22,2012.  Winds are still howling and 

raindrops keep falling, and, I am trying to have a peaceful 

night in spite of some bad memories hovering in my mind.
