關於那兩個詞，intimate，我覺得下麵這兩個意思都有點，更接近4.

2 : marked by very close association, contact, or familiarity <intimate knowledge of the law> 

4 : of a very personal or private nature <intimate secrets> 

Veteran bores，veteran就是很有經驗的seasoned，old-timer， bore當名詞就是讓人feel bored的人。

具體到有沒有地道的中文相應的詞或詞組，I doubt，所以我對英譯中一直持抵觸態度。
