我認為how it was that 和口語的home come差不多。不是表示‘如何’的how，而是趨於‘為何’（why），表示原因。這裏的He問自己為什麽the impressions of winter could so completely describe the way he perceived himself。

我大學英文考了23分。所以我的解釋可能77％是錯的，哈
