Communist party is not against rule by the people.

Democracy is not rule by the people. It is rule by the few who have the resources to lobby. Chinese government is called people's republic. Democracy is not helping out the commoners but helping out those who lobby the government, which equals corruption. Perfect example is taiwan with chen shui bian who was corrupt but elected.
