Counterproductive to argue about the treaty at all. Should just

get the understanding that US shall not support Japan on the soveignty claim.

The treaty is written in clear language, in *writing*, interpretable in the court.  It's a sailed ship.  Fight where you can win.

Just sheer stupidity to play little tricks such as 將“美日”改稱為“日美”.  Way to gain friends and support.
