thirteen senses樂隊成員四人都來自英格蘭的cornwall, Will
South是樂隊的主唱，同時負責部分吉他和鍵盤的演奏，
Tom Welham為樂隊的吉他手，另外兩名是bass手Adam
Wilson和鼓手Brendon James。四人在學院結識後組建了
thirteen senses,初期主要是在英格蘭的西南部做一些小
的演出。2003年12月，thirteen senses進駐倫敦，開始
了真正意義的樂隊生涯。
2004年的3月樂隊發表他們的首張單曲《Thru The Glass》
（05年的一月這張單曲再版發行）。之後第二張單曲唱片
《Do No Wrong》的發表可以算作成功的後繼，但第三張
單曲唱片《into the fire》的發表才算是為thirteen senses的
發展徹底鋪平了道路。《into the fire》也成為thirteen sens
es目前最紅的熱門單曲。緊隨其後正式發表的專輯《the
invitation》雖然已有大部分作品提前在單曲唱片中曝光，使
專輯缺乏神秘感，但在12首曲目中，除了提到的《into the
fire》一氣嗬成以及《Thru The Glass》跌宕起伏外，
《gone》裏的假聲漂亮而經典，《the salt wound routine》
中的鋼琴理性而認真。
