斯卡布羅集市(Scarborough Fair)

這是一首中世紀末的英國老歌,作者不詳,

斯卡布羅集市本是維京人經常的登陸的港口，作一些交換而形成的一個定期集市，在幾百年的時間裏，每年的秋天持續一個半月，現在的英國，還有這麽一個小鎮。

斯卡布羅集市這首歌的歌詞至少追溯到十三世紀的英格蘭，至於曲調則更早，產生於蘇格蘭，這是一首充盈著敏感的詩意和微妙的幽怨的相思曲。伴著歌聲,現在腦子裏的圖像，是幹草溫暖的氣味夾雜著野花的芬芳，被蕭索的秋風挾裹著，掠過大地和田野，掠過即將封凍的河流和永遠歎息的大海，一個孤獨的男人，獨自唱著憂傷的歌，消失在天地之間。

第二句唱到了四種花草.香芹,鼠尾草, 迷迭香和百裏香、arsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme)，分別代表愛情的甜蜜，力量，忠誠和勇氣。而目前《斯卡布羅集市》最著名的版本，也就是西蒙和加芬克爾（Simon and Garfunkel）為電影"畢業生"作的主題曲,上了1968年暢銷歌曲排行榜的榜首,後有不少人演唱過,
