 1951年3月4日出生的 Chris Rea，浪漫的歌聲唱著淡淡的藍調，是愛爾蘭/意大利後裔。19 歲接觸吉他，在充滿陽光歡樂氣氛的義大利小鎮長大。73年遞補的位置,加入搖滾團 Magdalene,樂團更名為 The Beautiful Loser 後雖贏得 Melody Maker 75年最佳新進獎,但未能啟動樂團知名度, Rea 於77年離團單飛。
