Great comment. 浮誇風 didn't start from GLF, and it

certainly didn't end there. Exaggeration and misleading is just a norm for some current Chinese media. From technology field, science area, to art or culture, too many fake stories and heresays, most of them defies common sense and basic logic. It's really embarrassing.

Speaking of opera singing, I met some Chinese singers before who migrated to Canada and US. Almost all of them have some old newspaper excerpts praising them as great artists who's experts in multiple languages. In reality, as you all may know, that they don't know any languages, except for remembering those songs.
