在高端酒店或寫字樓，當我乘電梯與一個美女同處一個狹小空間時，會很拘束。同一場景下，我的感受在中西的差異極大。在西方，the lady will smile, make an eye contact, or even start a small talk, clearly trying to put me at ease as she reads my awkwardness. In China，the exact opposite will happen. The Chinese lady’s facial expressions and body language deliberately exhibit the state of being on guard. Frankly, I find the latter behavior uncivilized.   

在上述場合下的女性，都是受過良好教育，養尊處優的。這種中西差異，揭示了兩個社會和文化中很多有意思的東西。這不僅是我個人幾十年的觀察，很多朋友都有類似的經曆。
