闖紅燈的罰單?

My hu*****and and I passed one photo enforced intersection today.

When we passed the intersection, it was still yellow light and we were following the car in the front of us. Passing the intersection, my hu*****and told me he felt something flashed (a picture being taken?).

We are in California, and we never had tickets before.

Questions are
1. if there was a picture taken, will we for sure get a ticket?
2. if getting a ticket, how soon will we be informed?
3. what will be the best solution for the ticket? Should we pay the penalty directly, or shall we go to the court?
4. Will the ticket effect driving records, background for future employment, etc.? Will car insurance increase because of it?
