contract does not have to be in written form, unless it is over a dollar limit, then the statute of fraud says it has to be written and signed. i forgot what the limit is. but usually an airline ticket is below that figure.

just remember, verbal contract is contract. the policy is to protect the system of commerce, not a particular individual. if every contract needs a signature, the entire system would fail.
