These are all wonderful speculations. Some of them may hurt you. For example, a yard of gravel is probably more than a ton so your statement actually proved their $35 a yard is not unreasonable. Also, whether it cost them to dump is irrelevant. All you need is solid proof from other sellers in your locality for the same stuff for much less money and use that to get a discounted price.
