1. no matter whos' name on loan contrac, all property WITHING marriage is half/half.
2. Half/half doesn't mean that you got half of house. you could got house, and your wife got cash and stock...
3. however, if both of you couldn't get agreement, then you need to hire attorney (very expensive). Then, very interesting, since the case is non-fault, judge might order both of you go "media" to get agreement. So you and your wife pay a lot of attorney fee and media fee (mediation fee is about $300/hour)
4. Conclusion, show my response to your wife, try to solve problems by yourself -- smart way.
