The landlord should provide you with detailed charges. For normal wear and tear, especially for you living there just 2 month, he cannot ask you pay for it. I think the landlord just want somebody cover his renovation cost. I believe you can sue him in small claim court.

Also can you prove that those stains were left by previous renter? Try to collect as more evidence as possible.

BTW, I'm not an attorney. Just know a case from a friend who successfully got his deposit back.
