American is a free country. Just choose the way you want to live, and forget those garbage talks. If you stay in the US, you will need to follow the law in the US. To my understanding, (i do not study law), you do not have the responsibility to pay for your parients. That is the law, and you have to follow it. Of course if you want to pay, you can do it. I respect any human beings, no matter where he/she come from rich or not, even a prisoner. Everybody has their right, and should not be "應該是一人一口唾沫淹死".
