transit violation

吃到transit violation ticket，打電話去transit adjudication bureau詢問，得到的回複是:在file485表格時，“been arrested, cited, charged, indicted, fined or imprisoned for breaking or violating any law or ordinance, excluding traffic violations”仍然填NO，但是必須補充說明有過transit violation. ENTERED WITHOUT PAYMENT

現在的狀態是：140approved, 485pending，正在name check。請大家幫我看看，應該如何處理。。是該先付罰單，還是去hearing. Name check時會看到這個記錄嗎？如果必須補充說明這次violation，又該怎麽做？

May I hire a lawyer to deal with this issue or just waive it?

In NY, will this record be dismissed automatically after the fine ($60) is paid or will keep for 5 years?
