You can try to take him to court

I just note two things:

(1) There was no contract between you and pig, by which the pig has to return your money. I hope you kept evidence showing that he promised to pay back.

(2) Pig could be judgment proof, but this should not stop you from going to court. With a judgment, you can start the collection process, if pig refuses to pay, to make his life miserable.
