transfer dollars from China

Hi,

I just started a career after graduation. My company agree to legaly support my working status but I have to finacially take care of the attorney fee myself. My family is willing to help a little bit but rumor has it that China banks don't allow the dollar transfer abord. Is there anyway my family can send dollars to me from China to America?
