I got a parking ticket in Queens before. I filed an legal apeal by mail. I prepared many reasons before going to court. Surprisely, the judge did not even give me any time to explain and dismissed all tickets.

I think if you donot have any records in last 3 years, the ticket probably will be dismissed. Another thing you can do is to reset your court appointment as many time as it is allowed. If finally the polices are tired of your "unusual" behavior and do not show up in court, you will win without conditions.
