Any doctor can set his/her own fee schedule for an office visit or a procedure, usually higher than insurance allowable. The doctor will bill the same amount no matter if you are insured or not. However, insurance will pay what is agreed under the contract. If you don't have an insurance plan, call your doctor. The doctor amy reduce the charge. It is not legal to practice medicine in the states without a license. Is that helpful.
