tax benefit for relocation

hi,

I lost the shipping receipt, and may not be able to get it(used a private party before). Can anyone give me any suggestion to report the cost(relocating from east coast to west coast)?

I want to report $3000, but no receipt. is it a problem for IRS? which kind of replacement I could use?
