律師不接的案子

幾個月前在NEW YORK CITY KOHL"S 購物出門警鈴大叫，發現有貨品沒配錢（真的是忘了），解釋無人聽，招徠警察，我被送進警局，打指紋，照相，進法庭，法官判“六個月會被dismiss“
現收到 KOHLS -LOSS PREVENTION 的信要我支付罰款，原文如下：

Dear @@@
You have failed to respond to my letter dated 08/26/2005. As you have previously been informed, you are responsible $200.00 as a civil penalty for your removal of kohl’s merchandise without paying for it. If you not immediately make payment, kohl’s will be forced to pursue a civil lawsuit against you for this amount as well as attorney’s fees and costs.

Please send your payment via check or money order to me in the enclosed postage pre-paid envelope.

kohls 信裏時間有誤，案子發生在08/24/05, 不是08/26/05

我人在加州，律師這個案子嫌太小，不接，我該怎麽辦？
（自殺的念頭都有）
