to deal with them. Stop trying to save a few bucks. You have your duty to insurer, like to report a property damge. If you fail to do so in a timely manner, and try to settle this with the drive out of court, you are risking not getting paid by insurer at all.
Call your insurer, they will go after that guy. You can just sit there and relax.
