Yes you can go to the small claim court without lawyer if that is your desire, but again, you can recover no more than $5000. In civil court, if you win, you have to pay for the laywer. But if you lose, you don't have to pay a penny.

That reminds about a day ago somebody said here that don't go to a lawyer unless you have mnoey to pay. That is not true. Lawyers don't recover unless you win. Anybody has a question on this can rent a movie . It was based on a true story that at the end the lawyers lost everything except 14 bucks and a portable radio.
