question about traffic ticket.

I got a ticket by a police 2 months ago,but he did not send his copy to the court. so the court don't have my case. Tomorrow is the day indicated at the bottom of the ticket to appear on the court. Shall I wait or just go to the court at that time on the ticket? Can I claim innocence because the court don't have my case?
