有不少方法

1) Buy an umbrella insurance or increase your liability of auto insurance, so you are protected.

2) If you own a house, register a homestead, so your house can't be used to pay even someone sue you and you lost the case.

3) tell your neighbor that you feel  your car has some break issues and it is better to skip a few rides, some neighbors will stop asking your favor.
