Who is your 401k administrator, if it is not JP Morgan?

There might have been a communication problem among the parties (your company HR, 401k administrator, JP Morgan and you). I can't tell where the glitch is. why did you need to negotiate with your employer if you ended up paying taxes/penalties based on the issued 1099, basically acknowledging that you defaulted on the loan and that the loan had become an early distribution? Couldn't you have done this all by yourself? Also, as you have already paid penalties and taxes based on the issued 1099, why would JPM issue you a "corrected" 1099? Have you talked to JP Morgan directly? Since you have paid all the relevant taxes and penalties, as long as JPM has recovered the outstanding loan balance from your 401k administrator, this should be the end of it. So from JP Morgan's perspective, have they got their loan paid back from your 401k? Is JPM the lender or the administrator in this case?
