I got warning on the light problem. I violated V12500 (a) for driving alone with permit only . I need pay 402 dollars fine or go to walk in court to speak with the judge. It  is the only charge since I came to USA.

I took the road test 3 times in 2007. I failed since I was very nervous before. I passed the writtten test and got the permit last year. I practiced a lot of times with my husband ( he has driver license). I took 6 hrs driving class this February. I passed the road test this June.

As far as know, in California, if you can get driver license before the court and  the charge will be dismissed. usually, you need pay only 25 dollars instead of 402 dollars. 

I contacted a lawyer who asks for 500 dollars to help me to dismiss the charge. It is very expensive. I wonder if I can go to the walk in court by myself. or I had better hire a lwayer to represent me.
