Tenancy by the entirety
When a couple is married after hu*****and already bought the house, the hu*****and can deed the house, by a quitclaim deed, to himself and his wife as "tenancy by the entirety". This means, when the hu*****and dies, the wife automatically own the house, without going through probate.
Similarily, during lifetime the hu*****and and the wife "jointly" owns TV, couch, bank account, and when the hu*****and dies, these properties does not go through probate, is not counted as the hu*****and's estate, and are transfered to the wife directly.
This is why LZ won't get any money back. All assets by the hu*****and is jointly owned by the wife, passed onto the wife by joint ownership. The hu*****and has no individual ownership of any money to himself.
