回複:請教: 收到traffic citation要去court
An expired motor vehicle inspection falls under Texas Transportation Code statute 548.605, which allows that if you have received a violation for expired motor vehicle inspection, the citation can be dismissed only under these conditions:
1. You must renew the inspection sticker within 20 business days from the date of the violation.
2. The inspection cannot have been expired for more than 60 days.
3. Pay the administrative fee of $20 to the Court with a copy of the inspection certificate. This will include the emissions portion of the paperwork, if you live in a county that requires this type of testing, showing the vehicle passed emissions.
More info can be found the DPS web site that deals with inspections.
Good luck!
