I am a H1 and go to school part-time. I plan to go to school full -time next fall.

Can I specify the effective date of F1? Say I apply for H1-F1 in April, can I make the effective date of F1 on September 1st, so I can work full time till August 31 and go to school full time from September 1st? Even the change is approved in, say June.
