Just trying to explain why I think this way.

I appreciate your advice and I think the suggestion on leaving it to the insurance company is reasonable.  I just need to think it through as how to proceed with it.

I was not complaining about your advice.  There have been a lot behind the story and it really distracted me from doing my job.  I hope that you can understand.

My peer stopped by late this afternoon and tried to make me feel better.  I think she understood well how I felt and why I was doing that as she and I have both worked for this industry since graduation and principals are very important for us.  It is somewhat difficult for us to see someone who is not decent at work.
