How to deal with such teacher?

I cannot think out why it is like that and post it to get some ideas from you guys.When I went to class 20min late,the teacher found I didn't attend class last time and missed a quiz,he suddenly got angry,and said you don't have 30 pts and behind others,this is college.I said sorry for that.I said I asked you last time and you said there is no quiz.He seemed not able to control temper still,as he mubbled and threw heavily and rudely the solution of quiz onto my desk,and then to ground.I had to pick up the paper.Very stuned by his behavior and tempor.
Maybe I was often late because it is far from there.But he didnot announce his classroom rule and didn't announce the quiz time.And he let a black student to bring kid to classroom.How unreasonable this teacher is!
Even though I am not quite right in somewhere but I am not deserved to be treated like that.I want to talk it to the school but afraid the school will stand on his side.Feeling toubled,I really want to drop the class!
