a lot people come in US as B1/B2 and then switch to h1/h4.
I believe your hu*****and only got a h1 approvel paper and have not stamped a new h1 visa on his passport.
so your hu*****and and you can go CN and got h1/h4 stamped on your passport, the new h1/h4 visa has 2 entry for h1 and one entry for h4, you can go back China and use the new h4 visa enter US at any custom.

you should make a visa apointment on web quickly it will take 2 months.
