Birthday party

My daughter is in Kindergarten and we have received invitations from her classmates regarding 6th birthday party. Do you all go? If go, what kind of gift is proper?

We just moved here and don't plan to give a birthday party to her. So those invitations really press pressure on us. How do you deal with?
