Yield at top schools could be as low as 1/3 for some depart

ment. Depending on if the real yield is lowered than the expected, people on waiting listing could be admitted. I hear extreme case of yield increasing from 1/3 to 50%, so dorm was really tough to arrange. 

Ask the ranking on the waiting list and yield last year.
