1.IRR has nothing to do with testing. It only distributes reagents. Do not call IRR

2. CDC website has Patient Under Invetigation (PUI) 2019-nCoV case definition, study about it and see your case meets the case definition for testing.

3. Normally parents are not the ones who call CDC or the local health department epidemiology (EPI), the doctor or an infection control practioner makes such a call. They have to work with EPI. Your local EPI will consult with CDC to decide if testing is needed.

3. The testing kits were distributed a week ago bit there were some quality issues so CDC is remanufacturing the kits, going through FDA process, and the distributing date is unknown. Most local or state public health labs are waiting for the new kit. Right now only CDC performs the testing. Some states who have special situation may help CDC. 

4. Again, it is the treating physician, not the parents who initiates everything.
