Canadian Immigration Question

Filed application 2 years ago (April 2003). Had physical exam and paid landing fee more than a year ago (April 2004). Haven't heard a damn thing from them since then. I am considering hiring Maple International at this point, and they are saying they will be able to figure out what's holding up my case. Anyone has similar experience? Any advice is appreciated.
