Canada landing: timeline and Q

I hope it will be helpful for those applying immigration to Canada in Europe.
Apr 2004 - Submit application;
Jun 2004 - First letter;
Feb 2005 - Second letter, asking for ME;
Mar 2005 - Submit ME results;
Apr 2005 - Asking for passports and landing fee;
Jun 2005 - Receive passports.
I have a question for those who have experience of landing by air. I will enter Canada by land, while my wife and kid will enter by air. Since they are not speaking English, how can I help them to complete the immigration process in the airport? I am afraid that I can't enter the custom & immigration section.
