what if H1B turned down?

Hi, I plan to go back China to marry with my GF. It was said the best way to do it is to apply H1B visa with my wife (She will apply for H4 visa at the same time). But if I'm turened down for H1B, will I still be able to return US with my Advance Parole? And after I use my Advance Parole while H1B status is turned down, do I lose my nonimmigration status as H1B and have to work with my EAD? Thanks!
